Just Watched: Miss Saigon
Finally marked my first musical experience in Melbourne last evening @ Her Majesty Theatre:
- was kinda weird that while the character Chris is suppose to be an American, the performer has an utterly Australian accent.
- well, supposedly Kim is a Vietnamese girl but the performer has a perfect American accent – you can’t help it though, I guess…
- Choreography was beautiful, I love the American Dream.
- Made me feared for war more than I think I am – I shiver just to think about a totalitarian political system.
- The Engineer is the ultimate main character in the show – everyone thought it would be Kim…
- I love Schoeberg’s musical much more than Andrew Lloyd Webber’s – Schoenberg’s works are much more intense and more dramatical in my opinion.
- Watching Miss Saigon is a completely foreign experience when compare to Mama Mia and Saturday Night Fever.
- I heard English Horn – it was soooo beeeaauuuttiiiffuulllll.
Overall, although I knew all the music and the story lines before I stepped into the theatre, the show still WORTHS EVERY PENNY.
