Best Shortcut in Safari

I just* discovered a great use of shortcut in Safari which is best accompanied by the use of del.icio.us bookmarking applications such as Cocoalicious or Pukka. (Or any variation or del.icio.us and its peripheral applications)

Follow these steps and you can bookmark easily with just your keyboard:

Step 1: Get a del.icio.us account if you hadn’t already have one.

Step 2: Get a bookmarking tool such as Cocalicious or Pukka. (I have used Cocoalicious before, but now I use Pukka, they are both really good tools… it’s just I like Pukka’s icon and UI better. But the downside of Pukka is its lack of ability to browse the tags locally.)

Step 3: Put the bookmarklet for your bookmarking app on the Bookmark bar on Safari. (You can try this on Firefox or Flock, I don’t guarantee it’ll work though)

Step 4: You are now ready to bookmark with just your keyboard! Depending on the position of the bookmarklet – if the bookmarklet for Pukka is the first bookmarklet on your Bookmark bar, click command-1 than input window of Pukka will be prompted!

Step 5: Tag all you need and punch enter, if you have Growl, wait for the terrific Pukka sound and notification.

Step 6: Do you think there’s really a step 6? It’s all done!

*By “just” I actually meant few weeks ago.
