「有oboe/english horn呀!」
「結他那個部份的感覺很好。」
「整體感覺很好。」
「有arpeggios!」

何必計較是哪genre的?好聽就好。

Gender and Sexuality in session…

Disclaimer: please do not take this as a sexist comment, because it is not, although it may appear to be. This is just a discussion of two friends on a some what ‘touchy’ subject for some people, and it is not for the purpose of depreciating any sexes’ value. Please accept my apology if you find this offensive.

A chat conversation between me and Will that I thought it would be interesting to share.

Please pardon the HK-ish English:

Janice Lo (22:44:40): i found most transexuals are
Janice Lo (22:44:45): boy->girl
Janice Lo (22:44:53): or maybe they are just more high profile
Janice Lo (22:45:05): hmmmm…
Janice Lo (22:45:07): but interesting
Janice Lo (22:45:10): dun you think?
William Shakespeare (22:45:10): coz it seems gal becoming a man is more difficult
Janice Lo (22:45:20): really!!?!
William Shakespeare (22:45:24): yes.
Janice Lo (22:45:25): did you study about that?
Janice Lo (22:45:30): wa~~~~~
Janice Lo (22:45:34): tell me more about it!!!!
William Shakespeare (22:45:44): we don’t have the x/y DNA
William Shakespeare (22:45:57): but male has both
Janice Lo (22:46:00): but…. it;s not like after your transexual surgery, you can have all female features ga la
Janice Lo (22:46:03): oh ic
William Shakespeare (22:46:13): so biologically, a guy can turn into a woman

n’ some ppl suggested that in the future, guys can have babies
Janice Lo (22:46:25): ho la~~~~
Janice Lo (22:46:31): totally mo loi
William Shakespeare (22:46:39): but those female features r done by injecting hormones
Janice Lo (22:46:40): but i have heard abt that too
Janice Lo (22:46:55): including having ovaries and ovulating?!?!?!!!?
Janice Lo (22:47:02): how would that be possible.>!>!!
William Shakespeare (22:47:15): female can’t get that DNA, so i think female can’t turn into a male
Janice Lo (22:47:20): you can grow a uterus by just injecting hormones/!??!!
William Shakespeare (22:47:43): i don’t know, i m not a science student

but juz it’s easier for them if they wanna be a gal
Janice Lo (22:47:52): ……………
Janice Lo (22:48:06): i am not so sure i want to be a guy
Janice Lo (22:48:23): afterall
William Shakespeare (22:48:23): guy r dirty n’ smelly
Janice Lo (22:48:24): hahahahaa
Janice Lo (22:48:28): yes!!!!!!
William Shakespeare (22:48:31): unless i turn into a super handsome guy!
Janice Lo (22:48:34): and there are so many social pressure on guys
Janice Lo (22:48:40): ………………
William Shakespeare (22:49:23): n’ i can’t figure that if i spend a lot of time thinking abt sex
William Shakespeare (22:49:40): these days guys r so shallow

Janice Lo (22:49:47): hai loh!!!!!!!!!
Janice Lo (22:50:05): alas
Janice Lo (22:50:09): being a guy is shit anyway
William Shakespeare (22:50:17): ai…
so therefore, more n’ more tbs emerge
William Shakespeare (22:50:30): ^o)
Janice Lo (22:51:11): how does that establish this?!?!?!
Janice Lo (22:51:31): oh you mean….. because there is demand of less shadow guys….
Janice Lo (22:51:35): and then tb emerges?!?!?!!
William Shakespeare (22:51:43): um…
William Shakespeare (22:52:19): gals want not shallow n’ good guy–> but then the guys suck–> gals start to look for gal–>seeing there is a market–> tb/pure emerges
William Shakespeare (22:52:36): or
William Shakespeare (22:52:50): gals know that guys suck–>start to look for a gal
Janice Lo (22:53:33): gum… nei bud yu say all tb are economist… but you
Janice Lo (22:53:36): hahahahaa
William Shakespeare (22:53:59): no, u can’t say so
Janice Lo (22:54:06): why>
William Shakespeare (22:54:18): maybe these tbs know that there r some good gals around
they chase them
William Shakespeare (22:54:29): maybe it’s not abt the market
Janice Lo (22:54:39): but why does tb have to be tb to chase girls?
William Shakespeare (22:54:42): while these tbs chase these gals, these gals juz say yes

Janice Lo (22:54:47): cant they just be girls and chase girls
William Shakespeare (22:55:04): um..
i don’t know
William Shakespeare (22:55:13): maybe some gals only like tbs???
Janice Lo (22:55:31): is there any theory saying why would a girl rather be a tb than a tbg?
William Shakespeare (22:55:36): of coz there is pure in hk

but the trend in asia is that les=tb and tbg
William Shakespeare (22:55:46): no
Janice Lo (22:55:53): hmmmmm
Janice Lo (22:56:04): interesting
William Shakespeare (22:56:34): yes, but so far i haven’t encountered any theories that explain this situation
Janice Lo (22:56:57): let’s look that up after exam
Janice Lo (22:57:04): if we still remember
William Shakespeare (22:59:10): i can only say that
every gender is constructed
n’ u, acting as tb/tbg/female/male is only a performance

we choose the most comfortable ‘role’ to performance
so i guess, maybe some ppl found that taking up a particular role will make them feel better than the others

Janice Lo (22:59:47): since when is there a role of tb/tbg though?
Janice Lo (22:59:56): i mean
William Shakespeare (23:00:04): all the time
Janice Lo (23:00:16): what contribute to the emergence of tb?
Janice Lo (23:00:21): is there any theory?
William Shakespeare (23:00:22): tb=husband
tbg=wife

everybody is doing that
William Shakespeare (23:00:30): u assume tb=a guy
tbg= a gal
William Shakespeare (23:00:40): i don’t know
William Shakespeare (23:00:54): i guess for every tb, she has their own reason
Janice Lo (23:01:29): gum jik hai while they are performing an extraordinary role as a tb/tbg, they are still confined in society’s convention of m/f instead of f/f relationship la
Janice Lo (23:01:40): coz there’s still like a husband/wife situation
William Shakespeare (23:01:51): YES!
Janice Lo (23:01:52): hmmmmm
William Shakespeare (23:02:01): so sb argue that
William Shakespeare (23:02:25): sometimes homo. relationship is reinforcing heterosexual relationship
Janice Lo (23:02:59): hey
Janice Lo (23:09:16): you know… those people anti-homo
Janice Lo (23:09:24): are they mostly male?
Janice Lo (23:09:37): coz i just couldn’t recall any female proponents….
William Shakespeare (23:09:46): yes
William Shakespeare (23:09:55): coz male is so scared of this topic
Janice Lo (23:10:03): or… maybe it’s just that the male anti-homo is more outspoken?!
William Shakespeare (23:10:04): for those female r like.. christians
Janice Lo (23:10:23): why would male be scare of this topic
William Shakespeare (23:10:34): i m not male
Janice Lo (23:10:53): i just thought maybe there will be some theories explaining this phenomenon
William Shakespeare (23:10:59): no la
William Shakespeare (23:11:25): maybe male is so scraed that a guy will become sissy
William Shakespeare (23:11:30): if he is gay
Janice Lo (23:11:45): but gay ppl dun care if they are sissy!
William Shakespeare (23:11:56): becoming feminine is a fatal thing for most guys
Janice Lo (23:12:25): true
Janice Lo (23:12:30): look at chandler and joey
Janice Lo (23:12:31): lol

My favourite House quotes

1.

Dr. Wilson: Did you know your phone is dead? Do you ever recharge the batteries?
Dr. House: They recharge? I just keep buying new phones.

2.

Dr. House: No, there is not a thin line between love and hate. There is, in fact, a Great Wall of China with armed sentries posted every twenty feet between love and hate.

I just copied those quotes from Facebook’s House MD group. I just found them hilarious. But I don’t even know which episode do they come from.

I am a good procrastinator and a bad bad bad student.

P.S. I finished my exchange essay! YIKES!!! Now, off to be a good student…
