it is stupid to upstage others with something totally un-solid, e.g. seniority. because by doing so, it reflects that you’ve nothing better left with you, e.g. knowledge. so, if you want me to scold me or ask me to do something, at least give me a solid reason. i am just not buying those non-sense senior talks at all. it pisses me off, and makes you unsophisticated.
