Feature entry

The most humourous iPhone app

I love this app’s description:

Ever forgot you girlfriend’s birthday? Problem solved. What about an anniversary? Does she simply get upset because you don’t talk to her enough?

With the humorous Girlfriend iPhone app (and possibly the answer to life, even at $0.99), all of these problems are solved. Here is a user testimonial to prove our point:

“My first three wives divorced me because I always forgot anniversaries. I am pretty sure my forth marriage will work thanks to the Girlfriend app?” Mark, 22

This application allows you to set up automated text messages or emails to be sent to your significant other based on your specified criteria such as “Relationship Seriousness” and how often you would like to (or are expected to) communicate. Messages will be sent based on your criteria (every two hours to once a month) and will be randomly generated and sent based on your relationship seriousness level. Messages will possibly be humorous but never vulgar. Out database contains thousands of messages, enabling messages to constantly be fresh and original and signed with your name. Our system enables your significant other to respond to the message and the response will be sent to your email address.

In addition, we have an “Advanced Settings” feature, which enables you to enter relationship and personal information such as anniversary dates, birthdays, and even eye color. This way, you will never miss another date and your messages will be very specific. Example texts are shown below:

“I just drove by a brown barn and it reminded me of your eyes.”

“Did you know we started dating 37 days and 8 hours ago?”

There is a history feature as well, which lets you see what messages have been sent to your significant other and when so you are not thrown off guard if they come up in casual conversation.

In conclusion, forget male enhancement and steroids, all you really need is the Girlfriend iPhone app and your relationship health and sexual activity will increase significantly!

I wonder if the app creator is a female or male… I am this close to trying it - only if I have an iPhone!!!

I love this song:

Thanks Kaho ;-)

June 4th Juni 4 VIIV

Breathe

Breathe in - Frou Frou

I read you and God I’m good at it I’m so spot on
Chord shapes in air go press that dissonance if you dare
And you breathing in finesse an innocent
From her partying

And I’m high enough from all the waiting
To ride a wave on your inhaling
And I’m high enough from all the waiting
To ride a wave on your inhaling
‘Cause I love you no?
Can’t help but love, you know…

Breathe - Michelle Branch

Michelle Branch - Breathe

Well it’s all so overrated
In not saying how you feel
So you end up watching chances fade
And wondering what’s real

And I Give you just a little time
I, Wonder if you realize
I’ve been waiting till I see it in your eyes

If I just breathe
Let it fill the space between
I’ll know everything is alright
Breathe,
Every little piece of me
You’ll see
Everything is alright
If I just breathe
Breathe

So I whisper in the dark,
Hoping you hear me
Do you hear me?

Breathe in Breathe out - Anna Nalick

Anna Nalick - Breathe (2AM) - Funny video clips are a click away

2 AM and she calls me ’cause I’m still awake,
can you help me unravel my latest mistake,
I don’t love him, winter just wasn’t my season
Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes
Like they have any right at all to critisize,
hypocrites, you’re all here for the very same reason

‘Cause you can’t jump the track,we’re like cars on a cable
and life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button girl,
So cradle your head in you hands
And breathe, just breathe,
Woah breathe, just breathe

May he turn 21 on the base at Fort Bliss
Just today he sat down to the flask in his fist,
Ain’t been sober, since maybe October of last year.
Here in town you can tell he’s been down for a while,
But my God it’s so beautiful when the boy smiles,
Wanna hold him, maybe I’ll just sing about it.

Cause you can’t jump the track, we’re like cars on a cable,
And life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table.
No one can find the rewind button boys,
So cradle your head in your hands,
And breathe, just breathe,
Woah breathe, just breahte

There’s a light at each end of this tunnel, you shout
But you’re just as far in as you’ll ever be out
These mistakes you’ve made, you’ll just make them again
If you only try turning around.

2 AM and I’m still awake, writing a song
If I get it all down on paper, its no longer
inside of me, threatening the life they belong to
And i feel like I’m naked in front of the crowd
Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud
And I know that you’ll use them, however you want to

Cause you can’t jump the track, we’re like cars on a cable,
And life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button now
Sing it if you understand.
and breathe, just breathe
woah breathe, just breathe,
oh breathe, just breathe.

A narcissistic music note

  • I cannot forget music once it is associated spatially or visually… Patrick Watson’s Great Escape will always remind me of my train ride from Lund to Landskrona for the exhibition for Glumslöv.
  • Accordion always reminds me of Spain and France. Because a musician was playing it outside the Palace in Madrid when I was waiting for…
  • And Dublin is Cheer Chan.
  • I can’t listen to perky music when I am stressed, it only makes me feel even more miserable.
  • When stressed out, top choice of music are Rachael Yamagata and Greg Laswell - misery really loves company.
  • I can’t listen to classical music when I study because, thanks to music history, I will consciously analyse the piece e.g. period, composer, orchestration, chords, dissonance, music form, syncopation, you name it and I will tell you.
  • You cannot miss Spice Girls in the 90s.
  • I cannot play Mozart.
  • I love playing modern pieces - the harder to comprehend the better.
  • Amelie soundtrack is really very Parisian…
  • Acoustic guitar is insanely captivating.
  • I could not play emotional pieces when I was young. Maybe now that Grey’s has broke me, I can handle them better than before.
  • Eurovision in Oz

I gave Eurovision a miss this year. But the scene of how we groaned and yelled at Bulgaria for voting Germany to win is still clear as crystal in my head.

    Good times.

    portable espresso machine

    I NEED THIS.

portable espresso machine: “For the caffeine addicts amongst us, Mypressie brings us TWIST, a hand-held espresso machine.

    Mypressitwist5

TWIST produces quality espresso rivaling traditional machines while giving
espresso lovers unparalleled convenience and portability.
The world’s truly portable espresso machine. Just add hot water and coffee. A pneumatic engine also ensures coffee without external power and can produce upto 8 cups each. Twist is scheduled to arrive in the US this fall and is estimated to cost $129. It would make an excellent addition to my travel gear!

Promise that you’ll love me even when you hate me

If you watch Grey’s, and are spoiler free and you haven’t watched the season finale of Season 5. You probably want to walk away now…

For the record, I do think this is a very cute “wedding”. But pardon my shallow shallow knowledge of law or marriage, don’t you need a witness to be legally married? Or Rhimes is telling us, you don’t need to be legally married to be married - that the love of Mer and Der is enough?

Oh well, she can do whatever she wants in her Shondaland. Who am I to say anything? I am only glad that we got more than 20 seconds of merder screen time!
